Bobbie balances her role with Carers4Carers with caring for her son and mother and her love of gardening and all things green.
Bobbie ‘fell’ into the role of a carer for her son after a car accident which left him brain damaged and later led to a diagnosis of psychosis. Bobbie has a large family so felt looking after a family member was normal and did not think of herself as a carer till years later. She now also cares for her mother with dementia.
Bobbie’s previous roles in public and private sector administration, her caring nature and strong sense of community make her ideally suited for her role within Carers4Carers.
In addition Bobbie is a Director for Lambeth Forest Network supporting small/micro businesses and a Member of St George’s Mental Health Trust.
